The painting was created specifically to participate in the largest exhibition of the year at the Carrousel du Louvre - Paris, in June 2010, as a co-participant of that event, together with a team of renowned Belgian artists.
„Bella” its an epression of sensual beauty without being obviously provocative...The human beauty is revealed to us in the most surprising and mysterious poses, sensual but not at all shocking.
The beauty and fragility of the young female body can be highlighted and a touch of mystery can be added by ‘dressing’ it with shadows, by directing and controlling the intensity of the light. Shadows will create an atmosphere, suggest a story or make a statement, the possibilities are endless. Shadows will stimulate the viewer to see beyond the nudity of the model.
The 'full-body' nude has a specific visual impact, the space becomes as important as the subject, it imposes a distance (physical and emotional) between the artist (and therefore the viewer) and the subject, and it constrains certain types of lighting.
